DEPORTATION ORDER.
Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, July 27. Through an interpreter, an Esthonian seaman, Adolf Edward Fogclberg, aged 37, admitted charges of ship desertion and being a prohibited immigrant when he appeared before Mr W. R. McKean, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court. The Collector of Customs said that accused deserted from the oil tanker Filefjell at Dunedin on October 27 last and had since worked on farms in various parts of the country. An application was made for a deportation order under which accused might be held in custody for not more than si : months ponding the arrival of a ship in which he could be deported. It was stated that one suitable ship was duo at Wellington in a day or so and another was expected at Auckland on August 7. The Magistrate made the order.
