HOPES OF SOLUTION. (United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received July 28, 12.35 p.m. LONDON, July 27. In . reply to Sir Thomas Inskip’s statement on Britain’s preparedness, Mr Winston Churchill said that it the world could have ten, eight or seven years or peace he would hazard the opinion that the ground would master the air and the problem of the marauding neroplano slaughtering the civil population and seeking to blackmail the nations out of their liberties by mass terrorism would be solved. Sir Thomas Inskip answered that the. Government was engaged in devising air defence measures which he hoped would secure immunity in even a less period than that mentioned by Mr Churchill.
