CANNED FOOD
BRITISH PEOPLE. WANT MORE. The British public’s appetite for canned food is becoming increasingly keen. Demands for greater varieties of canned food are being received by canners. It was stated at a meeting of the Food Group of the Society of Chemical Industries that the consumption of canned food is Britain had reached 1,000.000,000 cans a year —one-tliird of which was produced in Britain. Fifty of Britain’s leading food scientists attended the meeting.
