They will be given an outing at the Christchurch meeting on Saturday, all three having been entered for the Hoincby Steeplechase, although Tangled may forgo the big event for the Lawford Steeples, in which lie will be required to carry 10.4, ns against the minimum in the principal race. Tidcwaitcr, who figures in the Avonhcad Handicap on the opening day, will not go south till three days before the C.J.C. carnival opens, and he will then bo under the charge of H. Thompson, head lad to G. W. Now’s stable, it not being the latter's intention to make the trip. On the second day Tidcwaitcr will contest the Sumner Handicap, and the Redelitfu Handicap on the thin: day. these two events being mile contests for hacks. Yesterday morning lie was galloped over six furlongs in 1.29, Ira celling- well within himself. W. .1. McDowell will ride Forest Glow aud Tangled in their engagements at belli the Christchurch Hunt and the Grand National meetings, provided Tangled runs in lhe Raw ford Steeples. A. McDonald will pilot Manavatu in the Homeby Steeples on Saturday. G. I?. Tatlereall will attend the later fixture, where he will ride Sir Nigel in the Winter Gup and Tidcwaitcr in his engagements.
