FOXTON RACING CLUB.

ANNUAL REPORT OF COMMITTEE. The annual report of the Foxton Racing Club reads ns follows:—“It is more than gratifying to noio that the finances of the club continue to show ail improvement. After allowing for £lB9 10s for depreciation, a profit of £637 0,-s 3d was shown for the year. The club conducted two very successful meetings, in September and May, both being well patronised by the public. The winter meeting in particular showed an increase in all branches. The course and building? have been kept in a good state of repair during the year and considerable improvements have been effected. It is with deep regret that we have to record the death during the year of six club members—Dr E.. M. Wyltio (steward), Messrs G. Edwards (life member), F. J. Burke, J. IC. Ilornblow, IL IT. Siinmonds, and A. E. Sexton. Nominations have been received for the fol'owing positions:—President, Mr W. E. Barber; vice-presidents, Messrs S. R. Austin, M. B. Bcrgin, R. Bryant, and D. 11. Ogilvy (as there are no further nominations for these officials an election will not be necessary); stewards Messrs E. Christensen, IT. F. Hughes. J. W. Bowe, S. W. Barber, and A. P. Easton (a* there are four vacaniccs an election will bo necessary).
