NEWSPRINT SUPPLY.
TASMANIAN PROJECT. SYDNEY, July 27. The shareholders of Associated Newspapers, Ltd., to-day unanimously approved a decision by the board of directors to invest £IOO,OOO in a company for the production of newsprint from a 350,000-acre forest concession in Tasmania. It was announced that newspaper companies in Australia have already provided £600,000 toward the £1,000,000 working capital required for the project, wliich, it is anticipated, will supply the needs of Australian papers for newsprint for 100 years.
