SURREY BEATEN. Received July 29, 9.55 a.m. LONDON, July 28. The Australian women cricket players in the first innings lost 9 for 222 declared (Miss Holmes 65, Miss B. Peden 31, Miss Deane not out 45; Miss Bide 3 for 48, Miss Turner 4 for 26). Surrey in the first innings made 119 (J\liss Child 25, Miss Hide 26; Miss Flaherty 5 for 31). Australia won by 103 runs. Five thousand watched the match.
