RIOT IN BARBADOES.
THREE PERSONS KILLED. BRIDGETOWN (Barbadoes), July 28. Three were killed and twenty injured in riots by mobs protesting against the deportation of a Mr Clement Payne after being acquitted of making a false immigration statement. The situation became tense and the Riot Act was read. Much property has been damaged and there is a likelihood of a call for a British man-o’-war.
