WELLINGTON STOCK EXCHANGE. YESTERDAY’S BUSINESS AND PRICES. Trading was fairly uotive yesterday, and a good turnover was recorded on the Wellington Stock Exchange. Leading investment issues were firm, with the exception of Broken Hill Proprietary, which cased 1» to 84s 3d on the nows of the miners strike in the Burwood colliery. Buyers held off at the Anal call, when seller* were offering at 83s 9d. Bank shares continued niiiot, but New Zealand developed firmn#ss. recovanng* to business ftfc 44s 3cL Buyers stayed in at 44s Id, with seller* up to 44* 9d. Commercial of Australia were weak at 18* Id. sellers'lß* 6d Now South Wales improved to £34 103. Cloldsbrough, Mart, eased to 35s 9d. Thero was an actlv* demand for meat freezing issue* at Arm rate*. Gear improved to 17s, and Zew Zealand Refrigerating wore wanted at 19s 7tl, with 9s 6d offering for the 10s paid. P. and O. deferred stock « » shado firmer at 41*.
