KELVIN GROVE.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) KELVIN GROVE, July 29. There was a good attendance at the fortnightly euchre parly held on Tuesday. The winners were: Ladies’ first prize, shared by Mrs E. Wolfsbauer and Mrs Olsen; consolation, Mrs Smith; men’s first, Mr Weastell; consolation, Mr Rees. After 6upper, dancing was held, the music being provided by Mrs Ryan, Mr R. Buchanan and Mr Powell. A dance is to bo held in the hall in aid of the Whakarongo Hall queen. Mrs E. Wolfsbauer has returned home after a week spent in Wellington. Mr G. Gray has returned after a holiday in Australia. Recently the Newbury euchre players came to Kelvin Grove to contest the shield, which has been kept five times by the local players, and were successful in gaining their objective.
