Per Press Association. AVELLTNGTON, July 30. “This is another instance of a mar. drawing sustenance under his own name and working on the wharves under another name,” said the district employment officer when Joseph Stephenson Skinner was charged to-day with three offences of making false statements for the purpose of obtaining benefit under tlie Employment Promotion Act. Defendant wrote pleading guilty. A fine of £5 was imposed on each charge. The Magistrate remarked that the caso was bad enough to have been brought under criminal law.
