“BORDERLINE CASE.”

OFFENCE BY MOTORIST. Per Press Association. ASHBURTON. July 30. Clarence S. Thomas was fined £lO for negligent driving and £2 for driving without sufficient lights and was discharged for failing to report an accident. Costs totalled £3 17s lOd. Evidence showed that in the evening half-light defendant used only parking lights. After overtaking another car he struck a boy cyclist whom the other driver, using full lights, saw 400 yards away.
