A RECIPE.

HONEY ROLL. Four ounces flour, 2oz sugar, 1 large tablespoon of honey, 3 eggs, \ a teaspoon of cream of tartar, a teaspoon of carbonate of soda, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, 2 tablespoons of water, some caramel colouring. Beat the eggs and sugar until thick, add the honey and beat well. Next add the sifted flour, rising and cinnamon, fold tightly in, then fold in the water and colour. Bake in a quick oven for about 10 minutes, roll up in a damp cloth, and .allow to stand for two minutes. Then unroll and roll up out of cloth. When cold, fill with the following filling:—Cream well together 4oz of icing sugar, 1 dessertspoon of honey, 1 dessertspoon of butter, \ a teaspoon of lemon juice.
