EXPLOSION ON SHIP.

TWO DEAD; THREE MISSING. Received July 31, 9.40 a.m. BALTIMORE, July 29. Fire followed an explosion on board the excursion steamer City of Baltimore in Chesapeake Bay. Reports from various sources state there were 40 to 100 passengers on board, of whom two are dead, five injured and three missing. Sixty-five rescued. The captain was badly burned on a hand. Five coastguard and private boat* speeded to the aid of the stricken vessel. Three Navy ’planes are searching the bay.
