St. Patrick’s beat Old Boys by 5 points to 3 in a third grade match played as a curtain-raiser to the senior fixture at the Showgrounds. Roach, the St. Patrick’s half-back, formerly of Silverstrcam, scored a very pretty try when he danced through the opposition, and Clifford converted. Jeffree kicked a penalty goal for Old Boys. Mr A. Neville was the referee.
