COMING-OF-AGE PARTY.

A party was held recently at the home of Mr and Mrs Hammond, AValdegrave Street, to celebrate the com-ing-of-age of Miss Betty Ingram. The guest of the evening wore a frock of blue. The evening was spent in dancing, competitions and games, the guests numbering fifty-eight. The supper tables were in the form of a key, and were decorated with streamers of blue and pink, with balloons in the centre. Mrs Hammond acted as hostess in the unavoidable absence of the mother of the guest of honour. Among the guests were Mr a.nd Mrs Speight, Mr and Mrs Ogier, Mr and Mrs Inkpen, Mrs E. Ingram, Mr and Mrs Ancel. Mr and Mrs de Vantier, Mr and Mrs Spencer, Mr .and Mrs Jones, Mrs Payne, Mr and Mrs Drake, Mrs Gooch. Misses Pat Payne, Turner, Proctor, Petersen. Gooch, Sebelin, Bridewell, de Vantier, 'Winnie and Eileen Nant, Ebbeson and Matthews, and Messrs Garrick, Oliver, Siddells, Turner. T. Ingram, C. Ingram, A. Ingram, Mayo, Bridewell. Martin, Gooch, Nant, Cooper, D.avis and Parlane. Prizes were won bv Miss Matthews, Mr Parlane. Air Oliver. Air Speight, Air Bridewell and Air Ralph Garrick, and Air Tngra.m provided the music for dancing. The guest of the evening was presented with a key by her father.
