A buoy cast into the Lapteff Sea (ni the. Arctic) by the icebreaker Sibiryakoff during her voyage from Archangel to the Pacific in 1932 has been picked up in the Bay of Biscay, near the French coast, and sent lo the AllUnion Arctic Institute at Leningrad. It is estimated that the lmoy musthave travelled more than 7800 miles.
