STAY-IN STRIKE.
GAS COMPANY EMPLOYEES. ADELAIDE, _ August 2. A stay-in strike of 450 men employed by the South Australian Gas Co began at eight o’clock this morning as a protest against the refusal of the company to confer on a new award demanded by the employees.
Only sufficient gas is stored for 24 hours, but it is understood the company is confident of its ability to maintain production.
