Eleven carriages and a van made up the special excursion to Napier which was run at the week-end by the Railway Department. The weather was all that could be desired and 423 persons, including 100 from Palmerston North, -visited Hawke’s Bay. Mr A. W. Martin, the well-known rupture specialist from Dunedin, is now on his thirty-second annual visit to the centres of New Zealand. He will be at the Club Hotel, Palmerston North, on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, the 2nd 3rd, and 4th of August. Hours, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.— Advt.
