TAIKOREA DAIRY COMPANY’S BALANCE-SHEET.
(To the Editor.) gjr When I wrote the letter I anticipated the answer “that you must disclose vour name or you will get no reply.” This is usually Mr Algar’s parrot cry and to my knowledge he has used the same expression when writing to the Press on more than one occasion. The issue is quite plain and I repeat it: That the company did not make the advances stated in the report attached to the balance-sheet, but that one farthing was deducted monthly from tiie advances stated in the report. I am not going to cloud the issuo by replying to the part of the letter regarding keeping accounts, etc. I do not detract one word I have written. I do not think it is usual for the editors of newspapers to .allow their papers to be used by irresponsible persons, and I am not going to accept Mr Algar’s judgment as to whether I am a responsible person or not. I do not propose to enter into any further newspaper discussion as that brings one nowhere.—l am. etc., INTERESTED.
