ROUND TABLE CLUB.
TALK ON MOTHS AND BUTTERFLIES. In the.absence of the president (Miss C. Warburton), Miss M. Grant presided over the meeting of the Business and Professional Women’s Hound Table Club, which was held in the Y.W.C.A. clubroom, last night. Several visitors were welcomed, including Miss M. Verry. of Waipukurau, a former member.
“Current Events” were dealt with by Mr M. Walker, most of his remarks centring round the situation in China. The speaker was Mr J. Tetley, of the Massey College staff, whose subject was “Moths and Butterflies,” which he dealt with in an interesting way. Mr Tetley had many specimens, the life cycles of ea.ch being explained and characteristics outlined. Thanks were conveyed to the speaker by Mrs D. H. Fraser, who said that Mr Tetley had opened up a new world in colour and form. The opportunity was taken by Miss Grant to convey greetings from the Wellington Round _ Table Club, the speaker, together with Misses F. Ross and Bird, having attended a luncheon tendered to overseas delegates to the recent New Education Fellowship Conference by the Wellington Round Table Club.
