POHANGINA VALLEY.

The annual dance of the Pohangina Cricket Club was an enjoyable function. The hall was just comfortably filled, the assembly being representative of most of the surrounding districts. Led by their capablo secretary, Mr R. Sinclair, the cricketers had spared no efforts when catering for the entertainment. Supper arrangements wore in the hands of an efficient ladiee’ committee. The hall was artistically decorated with streamers and masses of balloons, later in the evening the latter being released to float gently down on the dancers. A Monte Carlo dance was held, the winers being Miss Gray and Mr M. Bailey. Mr W. Howell carried out the duties of M.C. Among the ladies present were: Mesdamcs F.
