BANK PROFITS.
SYDNEY, Aug. 2. The Commercial Bank of Australia, Ltd., is raising’ the rate of the ordinary dividend to 6 2-3 per cent., as against 5 5-6 per cent, for each cf the two preceding years. Net profit for the past year was £247,435, against £234,480 for the previous year . The Commercial Banking Company of Sydney, Lfd.’s, profit for tho year amounted to £342,041, being an increase of £43,814 on the previous year. The final dividend was 3a per cent, for the year, compared with 6 per cent, for tho previous year.
