Reserves for the Springbok team are D. H. Craven (scrum half) and L. C. Strachan (second row forward). Ten of the players in the Springbok side figured in the match against Auckland, and it is evident that the visitors are fielding the heaviest pack at present available against the Manawatu forwards, as it averages only 3Ub lighter than that which opposed Auckland. The Manawatu team averages 51b lighter than that of tho visitors. 'Die local forwards average slb lighter, and the hacks 21b lighter. Nel, the Springboks captain, will he playing his eleventh consecutive game to-morrow.
Though the weather indications are at present uncertain, tho Showgrounds oval, where the match is to bo played, is at present hard and fast, and generally in splendid order.
