LORD EUSTACE PERCY.
TO BECOME COLLEGE RECTOR. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, August 1. Lord Eustace Percy, President of the Board of Education from 1924 to 1929 and for some time Minister without portfolio in Mr Stanley Baldwin’s second National Government, has beer- appointed to be rector of King’s College, Newcastle, under the new statutes for the university made in pursuance of a reorganisation on the basis of the recommendations of the Royal Commission on the University of Durham. . ■ , . Lord Eustace Percy is also chairman of the British council for cultural relations with foreign countries. Ho has indicated that he will resign his seat in Parliament, and this will necessitate a by-election in the Hastings division of Sussex.
