SEARCH FOR ’PLANE.
FOUND SUBMERGED. 14 PERSONS MISSING. Received August 4, 10.30 a.m. NEW YORK, Aug. 3. Following fears for the safety of a Pan-American Airways ’plane containing eleven passengers and a crew of three, flying from Chile to Cristobal, which’ was due last night, a search of the Canal Zone was undertaken by 64 navy ’planes. The ’plane was found submerged with no sign of life 011 board.
