OBITUARY.
MRS ADA HEWITT. The death occurred recently at her residence in Rtiahine Street of a very old and respected resident of Palmerston North in Mrs Ada Hewitt. Mrs Hewitt was born in Maidenhead, England, and sailed by the sailing ship La Hogue. Arriving in Palmerston North with her parents in 1874, she had lived here ever since. Mrs Hewitt was the widow of the late Mr Alfred Hewitt and the daughter of the late Mr W. H. Aldridge and the late" Mrs Emma Finnis. She leaves a grown-up family of two sons and two daughters. Mrs F. .Whittaker, Ruahine Street; Mrs H. Scott, Ruahine Street; Mr A. W. Hewitt. Winton (South Island) and Mr Harry Hewitt. Mrs Cockerv predeceased them. Mrs Hewitt also leaves six surviving sisters and one brother, Mrs P. Hanson, Palmerston North; Mrs Burton, Auckland; Mrs J. Hanson, Waipukurau*; Mrs F. Whittaker, J.ev‘n; Mrs H. Atkins, Levin; Mrs G. H. Jones, Hawera; and Mr W. H. Aldridge, Levin.
