(From Our Own Correspondent.) _ SANSON, 9ug. 4. There was a good attendance at the weekly shoot of the Sandon Miniature Rifle Club. A married men v. single match was shot, the- married men being the winners with a score of 1068 to 1066. Tho winners of buttons for the week were: —A grade, K. Lumsdon with 139; B grade, H. Westwood, 56—61 —117; S. Harris, 60-67-127; total, 746. A very pleasant dnnee was held .in the Town Hall last evening by the Sandon Hall committee in aid of tho improvements fund. In spite of the ufavourablc weather conditions a jolly time was spent, the success of the evening being duo to the committee and a number of ladies who had assisted them. The committee were Messrs T. Fagan, C. Eglinton, E. N. Butler, R. Meyer, G. Williams, and M. Pearce. The Monte Carlo waltz was won by Mr and Mrs W. Evans, and the lucky spot waltz by Mr 11. Henson and partner. Tho following wero the ladies who were of great assistance to the committee: Mrs W. Pearce, black velvet; Mrs J. Fagan, pink lace, gold lame; Mrs A. Adams, mulberry cloque and silver; Mrs E. N. Butler, floral georgette; Mrs Richardson, tomato mackerel, cropc and silver; Miss Gwen Adams, floral georgette; Mrs J. Bowator, Mrs R. Tattle, and others. Among those present were: —Mrs W.
