RAILWAY STATIONS.
MODERN IMPROVEMENTS. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, Aug. 3. The London and North-Eastern Railway is undertaking improvements to nboiit 900 stations in the southern half of its system, including the three termini in London -King s Cross, Liverpool Street, and Marylebone statl<The improvements include modernisation of the lay-out to increase efficiency in handling traffic and an increase in amenities, such as more comfortable waiting accommodation and better lighting.
