MARCONI’S LAST HOURS.
TOUCHING INCIDENTS. The first words of the Pater Noster were on the lips of Marches? Marconi when he died early on July 20. according to Monsignor Ratti. a relative of the Pope, who administered the la6t Sacrament. During the night the Marchese had become «eriouslv ill and said to his valet: “I am sorry, hut I am going to put vou and my friends to some trouble. I fear my end is near.” Previously Marconi had dictated a message to his daughter Elettra for her seventh birthday. He was heard to sav how fond she was of fruit and sweets. He was also hoard to sav his n-lfe’s name, “Maria,” and “Italia..” He then lapsed into unconsciousness. The first caller in the morning was Sisrnor Mussolini. Tie knelt bv the bedside and remained a quarter of an hour. He was followed by other high personages.
