LADIES’ HOCKEY.
TOURNAMENT AT TAIHAPE. - Members of the ladies’ Broadway Hockey Club journeyed to Taihape yesterday to cormiete in a seven-a-side tournament. The team drew with Kia Ora (no score), beat Ohakune B 15—0, heat Huamai 4—o, and lost to Whiti Tama o—l after a very exciting game which left Whiti Tama the section winners. The latter team eventually won the cup. The Broadway representatives were; Misses V. Bolierson, P. Hancox, N. Davis, M. Botcher, H. Griffin and F. Highfield (captain). MATCHES AT WOODVILLE. The following is the draw for the teams to play at the Woodville recreation grounds on Saturday;— Ladies’ Thrupp Cup.—Hastwells v. Hamua, No. 1; Nireaha v. Knitawa, No. 2: United play winners of No. 1. Men’s Skipwortii Cup.—Eketahnna v. Woodville, No. 1 ; Hastwells v. Hamua, No. 2; Kiwi play the winners of No. 1. games to he of 15 minutes’ play and one-minute spell; “knock-out” competitions.
