PIGS, POULTRY AND PRODUCE. The Dominion Auctioneering Co., Palmerston North, report as follows: During the past week there has not been much variation in the price of fruit and vegetables. Poultry was in exceptional demand and an excellent sale resulted in * tofcn clearance and very high prices, with the demand still unsatisfied. A good entry ot pigs came forward and a spirited sale resulted in a complete clearance, with a very keen demand for all lines. Good wcanors were, very keenly sought after ana one pen of prime wcanors realised 24s oa; stores and porkers were also keenly sought after, good stores soiling lip to- 36s ana light porkers to 40s. Wc quote as tolFruit. —Apples: Delicious, from 6s 6d to 9s per bushel; Ballarats, 7s to 8s 6d per bushel; Stunners, 6s to 8s 3d per bushel > Granny Smiths, 7s to 9s 9d per bushel; Dougherties, 6s to 7s 6d per bushel; Was ingtons, 5s 6d to 7s 3d per bushel. Oranges, from 20s to 26s per case; lemons, best, from 20s to 26s per case; others from 12s to 16s per case. Pears; Winter Coles, 8s ',o 11s per three-quarter case; Winter Nclis. 8s to 10s 6d; cooking pears, Irom 5s 6d to 7s 9d per three-quarter case. Hothouse tomatoes, from lOd to Is per l , beetroot, Is to Is 6d; celery, from 15s to 19s per ease; carrots, from 4s 66 to 5s on tier sugar bag; kumeras, 7s to 8s per sugar bag; lettuce, from 4s to 14s per case; onions, from 6s to 14s per cental; pumpkins, from 11s to 15s per sack; spinach, from 8s bet to 10s 6d per case; cabbage, from 2s to 8s per sack; cauliflowers, from as to I2S 6d per sack; seconds, from 3s to 5s per sack; rhubarb, from 10s to 15s per dozen, parsnips, from 3s to 5s per sugar bag.
