FALL FROM LORRY

Per Press Association. GISBORNE, Aug. 7

Falling from a lorry on which he was travelling to Omaio as a member of the Tikitiki football team, a Maori, Pakura Taukoko, aged 25, married, with one child, was fatally injured yesterday afternoon. While the lorry was proceeding down Potaka .Hill, Taukoko was affected by sickness and leaned over the side; the vehicle gave a sudden lurch, which caused him to fall, and he was crushed between the lorry and the bank, receiving injuries from which he succumbed in a. few minutes.
