HAWKE’S BAY HUNT CLUB. HASTINGS, Aug. 14. The Hawke’s Bay Hunt Club held its second point-to-point steeplechase meeting of the season at Tikokino this afternoon. Results: LIGHTWEIGHT STEEPLECHASE. Two miles and a-half. —Master Turbine (R. Rood) 1, Martini (R. Nelson) 2, Penology (D. Holden) 3. Seven started. Four lengths; six lengths.
LADIES’ HUNTERS’ TRIAL.-Marco (Miss M. White) 1, Stella (Mrs P. White) 2, Trooper (Mrs D. Holden) 3. Twentythree started. HEAVYWEIGHT STEEPLECHASE. Two miles and a-half. —Taetutu (R. Hewitt) 1, Offa (W. S. S. Johnston) 2, Trooper (D. Holden) 3. Bowyang was third, tut failed to draw the weight and was disqualified. Seven started. Five lengths; 20 lengths. OPEN POINT-TO-POINT. Two miles and a-half. —Acron. (J. Bradbury) 1, Sabatini (L. N. White) 2, Timipouri (IT. McKenzie) 3. Four started. MEN’S HUNTERS’ TRIAL.—KaIIu 1, Star X 2, Matai 3. Twenty-eight started. LADIES’ BRACELET—ShirIey Temple (Mrs E. Tod) 1, Columbus (Miss Harding) 2, Erin (Miss M, Nation) 3. Seven started.
