FEILDING BRANCH MEETING
Mrs A. C. McCorkindale (president) presided at the monthly meeting of the Feilding branch of the Plunket Society, others present being Mesd.ames T. Collins, R. M. Watson, A. McGregor, J. B. Purcell, E. Fair, T. Donaldson, V. J. Stichbury, H. Brown, W. Hulse, A. R. Carter, \Y. Green, P. Strawbridge, Misses McElroy and Christie (hon. sec.). Ajrologies for absence were received from Mcsdames F. Mason, P. G. Stevens, C. Tate, R. Lourie, Misses Mayo and Murdoch. The report of the Plunket nurse stated that the attendance of mothers and infants at the rooms had been well maintained and eight new babies in the town and four in the country district had been added to the register. Sirs Pickering was elected to the vacancy on tho committee due to the departure of Mrs J. Blake for Wanganui. „ ~ Receipts included £8 profit from the children’s party. Donations and subscriptions were received from Mestlames F. Mason, L. Haywood, H. B. Buchanan, J. Webster, F. Dooly, Hobson, J. J. Williamson and Miss Miller. Miss Christie reminded members that it would be necessary to raise at least another £IOO before the building could ho started and suggested that each member of the committee endeavour to collect £5 or more towards the required amount. This suggestion was accepted and a number of donations have already been received. It was decided that the management of the building finance be placed in the hands of the advisory board, and Messrs R. M. Watson and D. C. Cullinane were appointed trustees. It.- was stated that the building fund at tho end of the financial year stood at £490 2s id a.nd with donations collected recently had been built up to £544 4s 7d.
