MATCH RESUMED AFTER RAIN. SYDNEY, Jan. 24. The Sheffield Shield cricket match was resumed on a good wicket after week-end rain. New South Wales in their first innings made 371 (Barnes 110, White 52, Oidheld 62). Barnes was struck on the jaw by a ball from McCormick and retired temporarily. White was struck on tho chest by -the same bowler. Bowling for Victoria, FJeetwoodSmith took four wickets for 118 runs, Pearson two for 27, Sievers two for 91. Victoria in their first innings made 78 for five wickets (Hassett not out 30, Pearson not out 15). O’Brien secured three valuable wickets (Rigg, Lee and Gregory) for an aggregate of 17 runs.
