FAIR AND WARM. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON,Jan. 29. An anti-cyclone is still situated east of the Dominion and lias intensified somewhat since yesterday. A westerly depression is approaching across the Tasman Sea, but its movement has been slow. Forecast. —Moderate but freshening northerly to north-westerly winds. Weather: Fair and warm, but cloud increasing and later scattered rain probable. Seas, becoming rather rough to rough. RIVER GAUGE. Noon. —3ft.
