RETENTION OF PREFERENCES. Received Februarv 1, 9.35 a.m. LONDON, Jan. 31. In connection with the AngloAmerican trade discussions an Empire Fruits Council deputation, representing England and Dominion interests, visited the Board of Trade to-day and presented the council’s case for the retention of existing preferences in favour of Dominion apjile and pear growers.
