POHANGINA INSTITUTE.
At a meeting of the Poliangina Institute Mrs J. Moar presided. Apologies were received from Mesdames Stanton, Berrington, Smart, W. Smart. Stuart, Ivlink, and the Misses Howell, Brooking, Smart and Roberts. It was decided to knit balaclavas for the June competition, for soldiers overseas. 1 Two parcels for soldiers overseas would be sent away each month. Mi’s Drummond. read the report on the Oroua Council meeting.' held in Fending recently. The competition for the 1 best jar of apple jelly was judged by ■Mesdames Paul and Tews, the results being Mrs J. Moar 1, Mrs AV. Shadbolt 2, Miss R. Roberts 3. The bring and buy stall is to be held monthly, the proceeds to be used for patriotic purposes. '
