OBITUARY.
AIRS M. E. CASEY. The death occurred on Wednesday last, after a long illness, of Airs M. E. Casey, of Taihape, mother of Air W. P. Case}’, of 102 Taonui Street, Palmerston North. Airs Casey, who owned the racehorses Race Call, Radio Call and Race Away, was born in Akaroa and was married to the late Mr P. Casey, of Awahuri. by Father Paterson. Mr Casey undertook contracting work in the Taihape district in 1894, and Airs Casey could claim that she was one of the first white women in the district. Air Casey passed away about fotir years ago.
