(Rec. 11.40 a.m.) RUGBY, Sept. 17. The King this afternoon visited the Ministries of Air and Home Security. Sir Archibald Sinclair (Secretary for Air) has sent the following message to General Sikorski, the Polish Premier: “Please convey my congratulations to No.’s 302 and 303 Squadrons on the magnificent, outstanding success of yesterday’s fighting, also to those of your airmen who took part, so splendidly in the attack on Calais.”
