February 22. Mrs. Morgan and family are making application to Government that the body of the murdered man Morgan be brought here for interment. He leaves a widow and nine children. He was cousin of the late Rev. Mr Morgan. It is said his friends and relations at home are m a good position. He was formerly schoolmaster at Kopua mission station, and has resided m WaiJcato for the last twenty-three years, during the last twelve of which he was correspondent for the " Auckland Herald."
