A man named James Henderson was cdmmitfed' for trial to-day for false swearing when" giving evidence m tlie Police Court.The Waste Lands Board to-day" resolved that 10,000 acres of ]and should 1 be opened for settlement iri the Moonlight district, and also two Blocks at Beep Dell. A large deputation from Palmerston South waited 'on the Bo.ar"d, and urged the great necessity for deferred payment sections m that district.- It was" decided that- a report shotfld loe obtained as to the quality of the land.
