Sib,-- A rumour is going (he rounds of this district to the effect that shortly, before'the late Mr Waite's illness I met. him on horseback between Palhierston. and Stoney Greek, and, through my negligence m riding, caused Mr Wai to and horse to fall into the ditch, thereby injuring him.
