Letter from Colonial Secretary acknowledging,, receipt of a copy of the bye-laws. l Return from Constable Gillespie, shewing that the sura of £5 14s was due to the Council for trespass fees. Report of the Public WorfeyOommitteq was received. and adop^edW ? The Valuation Roll for the year 1878-9 was handed in by the Valuator. It was resolved that next|Fiiday be fixed as the polling day re loan. Resolved, That in future the Council shall hold its meeting on the first Friday in each month, instead of once a fortnight as at present. The Council adjourned until the fkst.. Friday in February^ at 7 p.m. *
