HAVE WE A REPRESENTATIVE?
TO THE EDITOB. Six, — In your last issue I noticed a local stating that our member is not likely to be able to, visit or address his constituents. If such be the case, it is no use in being gulled «ny longer. I think it is high time, that the people of this district, should bestir themselyes by calling a public meeting, and ask Mr Johnston to resign, so that we ean elect some gentleman that will represent us in the forthcoming Parliament ; otherwise it is just on the cards that our Hutt-Waikanae Railway, and many other work* of progress, may go to the wall, or some other place of as little importance to us. We ,at least ought to remember that the Lord helps those' that help themselres. Trusting that some .of our leading settlers will take the matter in hand (and lam ■lire you will render them every assistance) —I am, dec., Air Electob. Palmerston N., April 3rd, 1878.
