HITBIiET reports (wholesale) as follows :— Oats continued at last week's quotations. .Wheat.— Farmers are receiving from 4s 6d. upwards for ordinary to good samples ; for Adelaide seed 10s per bushel is asked. Maize.— The new season's crop has reached the market, and is at present commanding outside prices, retailing at 5s (3d. Barley, none in the market, and very little demand.. Peas and beans, small stocks, 5s 9dand 6s 9d respectively for good Canterbury samples. Oatmeal in twenty-fives and fifties, firm at £22 per ton. Bran, £6 per ton. Pollard, £7 to £7 10s, scarce, demand good. Chaff, supply not equal to demand. Hay, 5s to 6s for inferior to good. Potatoes, £2 10s to £3. Bye grass, 8s to 9s 3d, inferior to good.
