This was an action
to recover damages, caused by defendant's sheep trespassing upon the plaintiff's land. Judgment for £10 and costs. Naera te Angiangi v. Perenara te Tef oki.— Claim, £20. ,It appeared that the defendant had. partially destroyed a wire fence enclosing ajiortion of the land belonging to plaintiff, at Waikawa, at the instigation of the defendant m the previous case. The Magistrate remarked tbat defendant was no more justified m breaking down the plajnliff's fence at the orders oi Rarisfield than he would be m burning his house, and gave judgment for the amount claimed, with costs." ■'"''*'.■'■ An application for a property-protec-tion order was made by Mrs Charlotte Taylor against her husband. It appeared tbat the applicautwas subjected to a- considerable amount of ill-treat-ment at the hands of her husband, he baying turned her out of doors. The Magistrate reserved his decision until the following day.
