Messrs, Sttrens and Gorton report:— At our stock sal* held at the yards, Balls, on Wedneidaj, the attendance of buyers ' was the largest that has been present for the' last three months, and the bidding for all lots with the exception of sheep, iras tcpt spirited. Although ttie cafcfcie sold at prices jjtehtly m farov of buyen, w» may expect a VSi m ralue as the spring approaches. The following pficfs were realised;— Fat bullotki, £10 to £10i. • store bullocks, £6 10s. ; cows, £4 to £5 ; two-year-old steers, £4 175. sd. j yearlings, £3 ; sheep— fat wethers, 7s. 6d. ; store sheep, Ss. 6d to 4s ; lambs, 2s. 6d. ; horses— hacks, £5 to £17 j draught, colts, £10 to £20.
