Museums, m New Zealand:. the Chamber of Commerce, Wellington ; or on application to any of the Company. . In introducing this eligible; investment to the notice of the public, the promoters desire to stale that the Company '•« rights comprise the best, most avifla'ble Marble deposits m the known world, at all events, m the Southern Hemisphere. This is sufficiently proved by the Caswell Sound Marble securing th« first prize at the late Sydney Ex. hibition against Italian Statuary and other valuable varieties. The/ also with to dwell iipen its known certainty and non-speculative character, the ultimate successes of this venture being now well established. The lowest quotation foi this Marblfl is 12s. per foot, and raiges up to £5. Larger blocks are, however,, much more valuable, .'. some pure White Statuary, without flaws, retlising. as much as £20,000 sterling m Eiirope,* the ordinary price for a block smtable for; life-size human statue beirij about £l,ooa The present cost of producing this Marble by manual labor only is about 2s. per cubic foot, f.o.b. These figures may 'appear .incredible, but they are, nevertheless, absolutely correct. Thus,* taking the cost of the production as stated, and the very lowest wholesale quotation at 12s. per foot, gives the apparently iabulous minimum rate of 500 per cent, profit. It is, therefore, no; visionary matter, as there are leading commercial lines and the values well known, the facilities of production, shipment hfcb quality ofprduct, giving avast advantage over any like property m the world. We will also venture to predict thas the value O? the Company's shares, will increase* at least 300 per cent, witlin twelve months of issue. Referring to consumption of these com* -moditioß.it is also enormous. Thecon T sumption of Marble, Portland Oemflnt, and Lime, m the Australian Colqniea ; alone during the^last twelve mQiiths has been £2,872,600 sterling' and 'rapidly -. increasing-,. . Caswell Sound is W POmmodipus and safe harbour for the largest vessels iaall weathers', the works of the Company being situated at the water's edge. The Government of this colony has also promised to favorably consider.' .special grants and cpneessions m. aid as sobh as the company is Successfully floated.
